Budget Woes: Day 36

Chicory located nicely by the Capital has become one of my favorite spots to hang and enjoy a lovely cup of coffee. The excitement of people watching is always a joy to see. Amidst the coffee aromas and pastry stickiness, business is as usual. Legislators and staffers walk through place like they own it; passing business cards, snapping keys on their phones, and clapping their heels. These attributes makes me weary every time. 35 days since no budget and all they do is walk around like its free time. People’s lives are at stake and they are playing poker. Someone explain this to me. My grand idea still stands: chain them to their desks with one hand free to sign! Keep them locked until the solution and compromise is made.
